Accessories
SELECTIVE LINE adds a finishing touch to prestigious containers by applying precious added value accessories such as a strass, jewels, medallions and other leather and metallic pieces
Brushed metal
An innovative process offered exclusively by SELECTIVE LINE.
The bottles take on an aluminum, brass or copper aspect.
The all over brushed metal effect can also be lacquered to color.
Flocking
Bottles are covered with synthetic fibers ? either all over effect or partially.
This gives a velvet touch to the bottle.
Screen printing
Printing either enamels, inks or precious metals, one color after another, thru stencils or screens onto a rotating bottle until the design is totally reproduced. A heat treatment vitrifies or fixes the design onto the glass container ? at around 600°C for enamels or 150°c for inks ?SELECTIVE LINE screen prints not only simple round containers but also sophisticated and complex shapes
Acid Etching
The containers are dipped in an acid based solution which superficially attacks the glass surface creating a matt and frosted aspect. Acid etching can be either an all over effect or just partially frosted areas can be incorporated into a design. This is achieved by first masking the transparent areas.
Saticoat
An aesthetic and ecological attractive alternative to acid etching. The Saticoat process, patented by Saga Decor, involves spraying containers with an enamel powder which adheres to the glass due to an electrostatic process. Submitted to a heat treatment the powder then amalgamates with the glass surface. Clear areas can be incorporated by masking prior to Saticoating.
Several effects are available:
Saticoat Soft Touch: A combination of enamel frosting with a finishing process to produce a soft silky satin touch
Saticoat Snow: An protective enamel coating resulting in the effect of rime or hoarfrost - Filtrates 82 to 100 % of UV spectrum
Saticoat Shine: A frosty enamel coating with a soft sheen
Coating
For colored effects containers are sprayed with either liquid or powder (resin and dyes). Lacquering can be total, partial or with a fade out effect also offering the choice of: matt, glossy, opaque, translucent, soft touch, metallic... The palette of hues and colors is wide reaching; imagination is the only limit ?.
In line with current legislation SELECTIVE LINE uses only environmentally friendly hydrosoluable lacquers
Transfer by immersion
SELECTIVE LINE is the pioneers of this innovative process: A decorative film is incorporated into a liquid bath. Containers are immersed in the liquid, the film adheres to the glass surface like a second skin. The result is outstanding all over effect, whereby the bottle is transformed into marble, wood, jean etc.
Sand blasting
Abrasive corundum is projected under high pressure to producing a frosted glass surface. Areas can be masked off to play with a combination of clear and translucent effects
Metallization
A touch of magic ? The glass is transformed into metal thanks to a fine metallic coating applied either totally or partially. Resulting in either a brilliant or matt aspect, in a myriad of metallic colors
Chromos / Pad printing
Decal transfers are multicolored motifs printed with enamels, inks or precious metals. First screen-printed flat, the transfers are then semi-automatically applied onto the object by means of a silicone pad. This process is ideal for decorating on complex non flat surfaces
